OMG I can’t believe July is almost over, which means Summer is almost over. Is it just me or do the same kinda run into each other since we’re in quarantine? Since my job keeps extending our work from home time (thank you God) I have decided to use this time to really take care of myself. Mind, body and soul. These are some of the items that I purchased and have fell in love with.
I made a list of all of my goals and what I felt I needed to do in order for me to feel like my life is in order. Or at least close to being in order as possible. Getting in shape is definitely at the top of my list but I personally believe that if you look good on the outside it will make you feel good on the inside. Here are my current 5 favorite things for the month of July.

- Sweet Sweat Waist Trimmer- So I’m not ranking these in order but this is definitely number one in my book. I know, I know a lot of people are against waist trainers but this actually has helped my stomach go down while doing my workouts. I also drink lots of water and have been watching what I eat ( future post to come). I normally hate sweating but I was ready to try anything to get my stomach smaller and I had heard so many positive reviews about it so I decided to give it a try. It has 4.5 stars on Amazon and it’s hella affordable so I said hey why not. I LOVE THIS BELT! I’ve had waist trainers before but man this one, I HIGHLY recommend. I have noticed results just within two weeks and I have even convinced my friends to get one. It runs big so you should size down and it comes with a free sample of the gel that increases sweat.
2. AlaniNu Balance Pills- I actually bought these in June but I wanted to give it time to see if I felt a difference. These help with hormone imbalance, complexion and mood. I noticed a difference probably about 2 weeks in and the main thing I noticed was my skin complexion started looking brighter and less dead. My mood changed as well. I can’t say my mood did a complete turn around but it definitely made me feel more calm. I will buy another bottle once these run out. The only downfall is you have to take 4 capsules a day. It would be more practical to only have to take one but overall it was worth it.
3. Victoria’s Secret Light Support Bra- The reason I am loving this is mainly the look and price. I would not buy this if it was more expensive because you can find these type of bras anywhere like Target or Wal Mart. I got this because it was on sale 2 for $28. I did buy a pink one and a white one but I believe they sold out so I linked the black one. I mainly got them to lounge around the house in and you can’t beat a $13 bra that’s cute too.
4. Mielle Rice Water Hair Mask- Now we have all heard of the great wonders of rice water for our hair but I got tired of having to make sure I bought rice, let it sit and just doing the leg work so I saw this as a great opportunity to save time. I tried it 3 times and I have noticed my hair is way softer and just seems to cooperate more lol. Now everyone has different hair types so I suggest try it a few times to see if it’s for you. The best part is that it’s a black owned company and let’s face it, as a black woman it’s hard to find good hair products from someone that understands our hair. Plus it’s affordable and organic!
5. Mielle Pomegranate and Honey Leave In Conditioner- This is from the same company as the rice water mask but I love this for when I don’t feel like conditioning my hair. Again it leaves my hair feeling so soft and smelling amazing. It’s sold at Target and most places they sell hair products.
