For some reason when I mention that I’m on Tik Tok I get a side eye from my fellow millennials. The thing about Tok Tok is that the algorithm is so amazing that once you interact when certain content, your feed will continue to share similar posts. Which brought me to ( dun dun dun) Food Tik Tok. That’s the lingo for the genre you stumble upon. There’s also messy Tik Tok, political, humor, over 30 club etc.
If you aren’t on the social media platform I suggest you run and sign up. I have stumbled upon some simple yet flavor packed recipes. This specific recipe is from the Tik Tokker named @chefedavis. She has tons of recipes that will make your mouth water.

Ingredients you need:
- Cream cheese
- spinach
- regular cheese of your choice. I used a cheddar mozzarella blend
- Butter
- Olive oil
- Seasonings: Cayenne, crushed red pepper/oregano and garlic, garlic powder, black pepper, Slap Ya Mama (ignore the paprika in the picture)
- Obviously salmon

Steps:
First make sure to leave cream cheese out about 20 minutes to soften. This helps when making your spinach mix.
- Season salmon. with all of the seasonings. Chef recommends half of a tablespoon to a full tablespoon. You will also season your spinach mix with the same exact seasonings.

2. Add half of the stick of softened cream cheese plus your shredded cheese mix.
3. Slice the side of your salmon. Do not puncture all the way to other side.

4. Stuff your spinach mix into the cut slot. Put as much or as little as you want. I didn’t put too much

5. Get your pan ready for cooking. I sued a cast iron skillet but you can use anyone that’s at least 2 inches deep.
6. Put just enough olive oil to coat the bottom of the pan.
7. When pan is hot place your salmon in face down.
8. Add a table spoon of butter after about 3 minutes of searing.
9. Flip and sear the other half for about 3 minutes.
10. Butter should be melted. Take a spoon and scoop the butter and drizzle over the salmon to coat it. I used a little too much olive oil but it still came out good

11. Squeeze lemon on top
12. After searing both sides about 3-4 minutes each, place in oven at 350 for 10 minutes.
She also used honey butter on top. I didn’t. I also left mine in the skillet in the oven.
